CEO
Mark Abbey
Mark is a seasoned executive with over four decades of leadership experience across aerospace, aviation, and renewable energy sectors. As CEO of Turner Iceni, part of Turner & Co., he leads the company’s mission to deliver top-tier crew transfer services to the offshore wind market. Prior to this, Mark held senior roles including CEO & Regional Director at CHC Helicopter, overseeing global operations in oil & gas, search and rescue, and renewables. He also served as Main Board Director at Sloane Helicopters. Mark’s career began at BAE Systems, followed by executive roles at Hampson Aerospace.

Head of Operations
James Lucas
With over a decade of experience in the maritime industry, James has developed strong leadership and operational expertise. Starting as a Deck Rating in Esbjerg, Denmark, he gained valuable experience on Windfarm Installation Vessels and worked with Swire Pacific Offshore in the North Sea and Africa. In 2017, James joined Turner Iceni, quickly advancing from crew member to Deputy Operations Manager, and then to Operations Manager in 2020. As Head of Operations, he drives the company’s success by setting high standards and ensuring efficient fleet management. His extensive maritime experience and leadership skills are crucial to the company's growth.

CMIOSH - QHSE Manager
Kevin Barber
Kevin brings 39 years of experience in Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Management, supported by Quality Lead Auditor and Chartered Safety and Health qualifications. He has worked with the Defence Training Estates, His Majesty's Prison Service, Blue Chip Nationals, and Certification Bodies. Focused on safeguarding staff, Kevin prioritizes implementing strong health and safety protocols alongside quality and environmental standards. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family and dog, is passionate about animal welfare, and enjoys true crime documentaries and staying fit. Kevin joined Turner Iceni as QHSE Manager in December 2024, bringing valuable expertise to the team.

HR Manager
Rosy Wright
Rosy leads Human Resources with a focus on creating a positive, productive workplace. Starting her career in the care sector, she earned an NVQ Level 5 in Care Management before transitioning to the renewables sector. There, she moved into HR and completed her CIPD Level 5 certification. With over 5 years of HR experience, Rosy excels in implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and driving talent acquisition and retention. Her unique background offers a deep understanding of employee challenges, making her an empathetic and effective leader.

Head of Engineering
Gary Yaxley
Gary is a seasoned Fleet Engineering Manager with over 30 years of experience in the marine and automotive sectors. He has worked at Turner Iceni for the past eight years, maintaining and repairing the fleet to ensure optimal operational uptime and more recently, optimizing fleet engineering on a national level. Gary’s career began at Ford, where he spent 15 years developing his technical skills, eventually becoming a master technician. He then spent 11 years at DAF Trucks, including four as foreman. Gary transitioned into the marine and offshore wind farm industry, where he has been a key player for the past two decades.

Interim Commercial Manager
Tim Mcmillan
Tim is a C-level executive with extensive experience in the defence, maritime, aerospace, aviation, and IT sectors, spanning design, manufacturing, and high-end services. Beginning his career in 1977, Tim is a driven leader with expertise in capital-intensive service design, delivery, and high-tech manufacturing. Known for his ability to build strong teams, communicate effectively, and drive innovation, he has successfully led business transformations and turnarounds in both corporate and SME environments. Tim’s leadership and problem-solving skills have consistently contributed to the growth and success of organizations in complex, high-technology industries.

Finance Manager
Jessica Rafferty
Jessica Rafferty is an accomplished Finance Manager with over 15 years experience in accountancy, specialising in the Maritime Transport industry.
Holding an ACCA qualification, Jessica has developed a deep expertise in financial management, budgeting and reporting, along with a strong ability to navigate the unique financial complexities of the maritime sector.
Known for delivering insightful financial analysis and maintaining robust financial controls, Jessica has successfully managed financial operations in fast-paced environments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. With a track record of improving financial performance and streamlining accounting processes, Jessica plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and operational efficiency.
